ebrary chosen to present QuickView and other technologies at ALA midwinter meeting -

E-book technology firm ebrary, US, has announced that it is one of 10 vendors chosen to present at the American Library Association's Technology Showcase, during the ALA midwinter Meeting in Denver, Colorado. In addition to new technologies in development, ebrary will showcase its new ebrary QuickView, which enables end-users to instantly view documents in many of the leading web browsers on Windows and Linux operating systems, and even works on the iPhone. No software downloads or installations are needed.

Currently offered in conjunction with ebrary's new Java-based Reader, ebrary QuickView is ideal for quickly accessing and exploring documents in the ebrary system such as e-books, maps, journals, reports, and other authoritative information. For a richer and more productive research experience, an end-user can also choose to use ebrary's Java-based Reader, which provides added functionality such as printing, copying and pasting, highlighting, note taking, and ebrary InfoTools.

ebrary helps libraries, publishers, and other organisations disseminate valuable information to end-users, while improving end-user research and document interaction. The company has developed a flexible e-content platform, which customers may use in a number of different, integrated capacities. In addition to ALA's Technology Showcase, ebrary will be showcasing its new technologies as well as its existing e-book products and e-publishing system at ALA Booth #2404.
