ebrary's Academic Complete awarded Best E-book Database by Library Journal -

ebrary, a ProQuest business, has announced that its flagship e-book subscription collection, Academic Complete, has been awarded the title of Library Journal's Best E-book Database. The award, which was voted on by numerous reference librarians, further strengthens Academic Complete's position as the best valued e-book database in the industry and marks the second highly esteemed title for Academic Complete in addition to the CHOICE Outstanding Academic Title (OAT) designation.

Academic Complete is a key component to ebrary's strategic approach to e-book acquisition based on three steps - Transition, Diversify, and Streamline. Many ebrary customers use Academic Complete as an affordable, high quality base collection of academic e-books with coverage in all disciplines, then examine their usage statistics to determine where to apply additional budget in patron driven acquisition, short-term loan, and perpetual archive.

Library Journal also awarded ProQuest's CultureGrams the title of Best for Reports. With its aim to foster understanding and appreciation of the world's peoples by documenting the unique details of their customs, traditions, and daily life, CultureGrams has consistently struck a chord with librarians and educators in the education, government, and non-profit arenas.
