EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) and Infotrieve Inc. have partnered to allow mutual customers to combine their search, content access, rights management and document delivery in one platform. Customers will now be able to use Infotrieve’s Mobile Library™ as their e-content access and management platform while using the powerful search and extensive metadata from EBSCO Discovery Service™ (EDS). This partnership provides a one-stop shop for research, content access, rights management and document delivery.
Mobile Library users will be able to search the expansive metadata available from EDS in addition to Infotrieve’s own catalogue of more than 60 million citations. Content that is available to users through their company’s journal or database subscriptions and e-book holdings will be identified using Mobile Library’s rights management module. For content that is not available via an existing subscription, Mobile Library’s document delivery functionality will be used to instantly procure the content.
EBSCO Discovery Service provides a fast, single search of journals, magazines, e-books and other content. EDS is also able to incorporate the results from some of the most valuable subject indexes combining full-text searching for completeness with subject indexing for precision and accuracy. With EDS, superior relevance ranking ensure that users receive the most relevant results based on currency, document type and other factors.
Infotrieve’s Mobile Library offers fully secure, cloud-based access and management of enterprise e-content. Mobile Library maximises end user access to databases, research literature, enterprise repositories and personal files, while enabling secure collaboration.
