Subscription services provider EBSCO, US, has introduced a new series of packages to its EBSCO A-to-Z service. With this move, the company seeks to help its customers capitalise on the wealth of information being published via open access journals. The EBSCO Open Access Journals collection represents nearly 2,000 open access titles.
In addition, EBSCO has created a series of subject-specific open access packages to help libraries focus their collection in specific areas such as Biology; Mathematics and Statistics; Medical; Technology; Physics and Astronomy; The Environment; Philosophy; and Business; and Economics, among others. Further, EBSCO has added four language-specific packages to its Open Access Journals collection. This includes Spanish, French, German and Portuguese.
EBSCO A-to-Z is a locator tool listing all of a library's e-resources, including e-journals, titles in full-text databases, publisher packages and e-books. It can include print titles and other local resources a user chooses to upload. The master EBSCO A-to-Z title database represents all major database vendors and publishers, with information on more than 225,000 unique titles from nearly 2,000 databases, e-journal and e-book packages.
