EBSCO Clinical Decisions has appointed Paul Tuten as executive vice president, where he will oversee the organization's strategy, content, product development, and growth. His responsibilities include advancing the company's point-of-care strategy and expanding partnerships to integrate DynaMed's evidence-based clinical content into the workflows, platforms, and artificial intelligence (AI) tools used by clinicians.
Tuten joined EBSCO Information Services in 2025 as executive vice president and chief platform officer, focusing on the scalable growth of its knowledge services. Before joining EBSCO, he served as chief product and technology officer at Taylor & Francis, where he led a global team working on digital transformation, data governance, analytics, and platform-based services for academic researchers.
His previous experience also includes leadership roles in health information technology organizations focused on clinical data exchange, patient safety, quality measurement, and revenue cycle management. These organizations include Quantros, now part of RLDatix and Healthcare Bluebook; RxAnte; and ABILITY Network, now part of Inovalon. Tuten holds a Ph.D. in information systems from Nova Southeastern University.
Tuten previously served as a senior advisor to the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. In that role, he advised the federal government on health information exchange and interoperability, supported the HITECH Act's Meaningful Use program, and served as a government liaison to electronic health record (EHR) vendors on certification criteria.
