EBSCO Clinical Decisions has announced the launch of its Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) Advisory Council, a cross-disciplinary body dedicated to guiding the safe and responsible integration of AI into clinical decision support tools. Formed in June 2024, the council aims to ensure that generative AI applications enhance the quality and efficiency of healthcare information while adhering to ethical standards.
The council includes experts from healthcare, patient advocacy, legal, technology, and informatics sectors and provides independent oversight to EBSCO Clinical Decisions. Their primary goal is to align AI development with the Principles for the Responsible Use of Generative AI. This initiative follows EBSCO Clinical Decisions' recent introduction of Dyna AI — a generative AI feature for its clinical tools, DynaMedex® and Dynamic Health™, launched in July 2024.

The council will ensure EBSCO’s generative AI tools are implemented ethically and effectively, prioritizing patient safety, data security, and equitable outcomes. This initiative underscores EBSCO Clinical Decisions’ commitment to supporting healthcare professionals with trusted, AI-driven solutions.
