Pediatric content in the evidence-based clinical reference tool DynaMed Plus® from EBSCO Health will benefit from the appointment of Dr. Scott Barron as the Deputy Editor of Pediatrics. Dr. Barron brings with him over 20 years of experience in General and Emergency Pediatric Medicine to this new position.
A graduate of the University of South Florida College of Medicine, Dr. Barron completed his Pediatric Residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center. He is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University Of Central Florida College Of Medicine and a Pediatric Emergency Physician at the Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando, Florida. Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, he also served as the Director of Evidence-Based Pathways for the Pediatric Emergency Department at Nemours Children's Hospital and as a leader in medical student education.
As a deputy editor, Dr. Barron oversees the integration of pediatric content for DynaMed Plus. He supervises medical writers and editors along with external peer reviewers to ensure that physicians and healthcare professionals have access to the most current, relevant, evidence-based clinical information available.
