The Modern Library Awards, presented annually by LibraryWorks, aim to recognize outstanding products and services within the library industry through impartial evaluations. Librarians from LibraryWorks’ extensive readership rate each product on various criteria, including their utility and impact. The awards were announced on January 16, 2025, and each of EBSCO’s recognized solutions has previously received this prestigious honor.
Core Collection en Español secured its second consecutive Platinum award for its support of Spanish-language readers. It offers unbiased guidance for developing high-quality collections, which librarians have praised for its utility in serving diverse communities.
LibraryAware, a tool designed to help libraries promote their collections and engage their communities, earned Platinum for the third consecutive year. Judges commended its intuitive platform and visually engaging designs tailored to library marketing needs.
PrepSTEP for High Schools achieved Platinum for the sixth consecutive year, being recognized as a versatile resource for skill-building, standardized test preparation, and career development. Librarians noted its transformative impact on student learning and self-directed education.
OpenAthens, a leading solution for secure and seamless access to digital resources, received Platinum for the seventh consecutive year. Marking its 30th anniversary in 2025, OpenAthens continues to adapt to the evolving needs of libraries and their users, earning widespread acclaim from librarians for its user-friendly and efficient platform.
