EBSCO Information Services (EBSCO) has officially launched Inspec with Full Text, a premier resource that significantly enhances access to the world’s scientific and technical literature. Developed in collaboration with experts at the Institution of Engineering and Technology (The IET), this innovative platform combines comprehensive full-text content with the specialized indexing and classification of the Inspec database, covering a wide array of subjects including astronomy, computer science, electrical engineering, electronics, information technology, mechanical and production engineering, and physics.
The introduction of Inspec with Full Text means that researchers in academic, corporate, and government sectors can now access a wealth of information through a single resource, exclusively available via EBSCO. This comprehensive database includes over 1,500 full-text journals, abstracts from more than 500 publishers, and indexing for more than 7.5 million conference items. In addition, users will have access to preprints, books, dissertations, patents, reports, and videos, providing an unparalleled depth and accessibility to scientific research.
EBSCO has also integrated Inspec Analytics, a dynamic research intelligence tool that leverages the Inspec database. This tool empowers research professionals to go beyond traditional literature searches by enabling them to identify and compare research trends across thousands of organizations and scientific concepts at both local and global levels. Integrated access to Inspec Analytics is seamlessly available through links on the EBSCOhost® or EBSCO Discovery Service™ results pages.
