EDP Sciences calls for immediate submissions for new open access special issue from MMNP -

EDP Sciences has issued a call for papers for a special issue to be published in the journal, Mathematical Modelling of Natural Phenomena (MMNP). The open access special issue will address ‘Coronavirus: scientific insights and societal aspects.’ In view of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the special issue will be editorially reviewed for quick publication.

The special issue is open for immediate submissions. Authors are instructed to read the instructions for submissions in the MMNP website. Since MMNP recently transitioned to a Subscribe to Open (S2O) model, authors may now publish in open access under a CC-BY licence, free of charge.

The coronavirus pandemic has provoked numerous questions at all levels. It has also shown that modern society is extremely vulnerable to and unprepared for such events. A broad scientific and public discussion has therefore become necessary. This issue will publish scientific papers in a broad range of topics related to coronavirus infection and the coronavirus pandemic, reports and data analysis, as well as more general prospective articles. In order to accelerate the publication of papers, the editorial board will decide which papers to accept without further peer review.

MMNP is an international, peer-reviewed journal publishing multi-disciplinary content on mathematical modelling. The scope of the journal includes applied mathematics and mathematical analysis in the context of its applications to real world problems.
