Digital preservation specialist Portico has announced that EDP Sciences, a learned-society owned publisher, will preserve its e-journals with Portico, ensuring that their content will be secure and available into the future.
EDP Sciences (Édition Diffusion Presse Sciences), a subsidiary of several learned societies, works closely with the scientific world. It specializes in the communication and dissemination of scientific information to specialist audiences alike (general public, decision makers, teachers…). EDP Sciences produces and publishes international journals, books, and internet sites with a predominantly scientific or technical content.
EDP Sciences is under the joint ownership of the Société Française de Physique (French Physics Society), the Société Chimique de France (French Chemical Society), and the Société de Mathématiques Appliquées et Industrielles (Society of Applied and Industrial Mathematics).
