EDP Sciences has announced the launch of its brand-new submission system New Editorial System Tool for Research (NESTOR) with full video integration provided by Cadmore Media. Over the course of 2019, NESTOR has been developed entirely in-house by a small, talented team. Both the speed and quality of the project are impressive which delivers an innovative solution based on best practice and evolving needs. All aspects of the system have been carefully considered and crafted to facilitate processes for editors, authors and reviewers.
The new system is intended for both journals and certain book submissions received via EDP Open Books. The features and layout of each page have been designed to be as simple as possible, so that the system is user-friendly and straightforward. There are easy-to-use dashboards, preference settings, reminders and many more features which are simple and effective. Overall, NESTOR is highly-configurable and customisable.
NESTOR is the first submission system to fully integrate video submissions via Cadmore Media. Cadmore Media is the expert in video streaming for scholarly publishing, providing video with DOIs, descriptive metadata, and full search-text. The integration will allow NESTOR to receive and manage many types of video content such as proceedings and video articles.
