El Paso Community College (EPCC) has implemented OCLC’s WorldShare Management Services (WMS) as its new library services platform, aiming to improve efficiency, modernize resource management and expand digital access for its students and faculty.
The migration provides EPCC’s 25,000 students with round-the-clock access to library resources while modernizing workflows for library staff. The platform integrates cataloging, circulation, acquisitions, e-resource management, and resource sharing, reducing manual processes and enhancing operational flexibility.
The adoption of WMS supports EPCC’s broader mission to serve a diverse student population, including first-generation learners and military families, through digital-first services and expanded partnerships with K-12 schools and universities.
WMS, built on the WorldCat database, enables libraries to extend their reach beyond local holdings by connecting users to collections from thousands of institutions worldwide. The platform is used globally to support teaching, learning, and research needs in academic environments.
