Eleven millionth record uploaded on Inspec database -

The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) has announced that its bibliographic database, Inspec, has uploaded the 11 millionth record. Research into cognitive radio networks was the 11 millionth record on the Inspec database, following swiftly on from the addition of the 10 millionth record in 2009.

Established in 1969, Inspec celebrated 40 years of innovative approaches to engineering and scientific research in 2009. The multi-disciplinary database covers significant research and development literature in the fields of physics, electronics, communications, electrical engineering, control engineering, information technology, and the applications of computers to a wide variety of disciplines. The database continues to grow with abstracts of over 4,000 journal titles, 2,700 conference proceedings, numerous books, technical reports, and dissertations added annually. Around 700,000 records are added annually.

The 11 millionth record is an IEEE conference paper given at the 9th International Symposium on Communications and Information Technology. The research, entitled ‘A novel non-cooperative power control game for cognitive radio networks,’ is from the Beijing University of Posts & Telecommunications and Inha University in South Korea, and examines developments cognitive radio networks.
