STM publisher Elsevier, Netherlands, has announced that it has purchased CPM Resource Center from Eclipsys, an integrated enterprise clinical, revenue cycle, access management, and decision support solutions provider. The transaction is effective immediately.
CPM Resource Center is a leading provider of executable evidence-based clinical tools, resources, and professional services designed to transform healthcare. The integration of CPM Resource Center is projected to further strengthen Elsevier's position as a leading provider of solutions that help healthcare organisations improve patient care and safety. In addition, the CPM Resource Center's assets will provide synergies through broader utilisation of Elsevier's existing clinical content products and complementary sales channels.
CPM Resource Center lines of business that have been acquired by the global publisher include a comprehensive database of executable evidence-based clinical content; consulting services that help healthcare settings align and sustain organisational behaviors that reduce care variability and improve clinical outcomes; and a healthcare consortium of rural, community and academic organisations engaged in practice-technology integration, clinical scholarship and clinical content development. In addition, Elsevier will also practice education partnerships with academic and affiliate clinical settings to advance learning and practice environments.
Going forward, the clinical content embedded within Eclipsys' Sunrise Knowledge-Based Charting, an interdisciplinary, pre-configured clinical documentation solution, will continue to be enhanced through an ongoing strategic partnership between Elsevier and Eclipsys.
