STM publisher Elsevier, Netherlands, has announced the launch of its new eLearning course, Handling Psychiatric Emergencies. Written by the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA), in collaboration with members of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA), and offered exclusively by Elsevier, the course provides nurses with the information they need to safely care for patients experiencing psychiatric emergencies.
The new course offers evidence-based continuing education to help nurses provide optimal care to patients experiencing psychiatric emergencies. The course features custom live-action video, animations, and full-colour images to illustrate concepts and procedures; information about practice, legal/ethical issues, and cultural considerations; links to drug monographs from Saunders Nursing Drug Handbook; and the opportunity to earn continuing education credits from ENA.
Elsevier will showcase the ENA: Handling Psychiatric Emergencies course at the ENA Leadership Conference, as well as highlighting all of its solutions for Emergency Care, including Mosby's eLearning, Mosby's Skills, CPM CarePoints Emergency and ExitCare at booth 411.
