Elsevier, a global leader in research publishing and information analytics, has been awarded the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) Healthcare Excellence Awards 2021 in the Digital Innovation in Healthcare category.
The award recognizes Elsevier’s innovative use of ClinicalPath Primary Care – a declarative artificial intelligence (AI) based clinical decision support system and pathway technology – that incorporates content for maternal and child healthcare to support large-scale rollout across India.
ClinicalPath Primary Care is a clinical decision support tool that merges multiple guidelines to facilitate screening and is capable of delivering complicated pathways while remaining simple for frontline healthcare workers to help them deliver complex care for maternal and infant health conditions. At the same time, it helps support memory attrition as the application surfaces relevant questions required for the individual patient at the point-of-care. As a result, high-risk cases can be identified earlier, enhancing proactive patient management and optimizing clinical impact.
Entering its 13th year, the FICCI Healthcare Excellence Awards celebrate organizations and individuals for their contributions to the industry through innovations that improve efficiency, affordability and performance of healthcare at scale. Elsevier’s winning entry is sponsored by NITI-Aayog and DIT as part of the HAIC program.
Submissions of the FICCI Healthcare Excellence Awards, in the Digital Innovation in Healthcare category were judged based on the feasibility and scalability of the healthcare solution to aid healthcare providers in diagnosing and treating patients that results in better healthcare outcomes.
