STM publisher Elsevier, Netherlands, has announced that its journal Current Opinion in Cell Biology will host a Cellular Host-Pathogen Interactions Conference, in Amsterdam, from September 5-7, 2010. The event is the first in a new series of conferences sponsored by Elsevier’s Current Opinion journals.
These conferences are projected to provide a new level of direct interaction between the leaders in the scientific field and the attending delegates. Emphasis will be placed on the latest unpublished results, extended discussion periods and direct interactions with leaders in the field. Each conference is designed to facilitate extended discussion periods with networking sessions.
Keynote speakers drawn from the world’s best scientists, will provide an opportunity for scientific researchers and clinicians in the fields of molecular and clinical research to meet and discuss new research in the field, including topics such as pathogen invasion, adaptation, host defence, pathogen life cycle and immune system response.
