STM publisher Elsevier has announced the launch of a new journal, Journal of Commodity Markets.
Commodity markets are important for economic development and growth and are at the center of many geopolitical issues. Despite these facts, compared to equity, currency, and fixed-income markets, commodity markets have been relatively under-researched.
The Journal of Commodity Markets aims to publish high-quality research in all areas of economics and finance related to commodity markets. The purpose of this inter- and trans-disciplinary journal is to stimulate international dialog among academics, industry participants, traders, investors, and policymakers with mutual interests in commodity markets.
M. Prokopczuk from Leibniz Universität Hannover, Hannover, Germany; B. Simkins from Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma, USA; and S. Westgaard from Norwegian University of Science & Technology NTNU, Trondheim, Norway, will serve as Co-Editors of the journal.
