STM publisher Elsevier has announced the launch of a new journal - Obesity Medicine.
Obesity Medicine will provide the latest information in clinical research on obesity. It will serve clinical scientists in all disciplines, medical practitioners, health-care providers as well as social scientists and the public interested in scientific information on all aspects of obesity. Prof. Wieland Kiess from the University of Leipzig serves as Editor-in-Chief of the journal.
The journal welcomes papers on original observations and research on the causes of obesity, prevention and treatment, comorbidities and social and psychological as well as societal and financial impacts. In addition, state-of-the-art reviews and an occasional prismatic case will be published.
The journal will appear four times a year online and will be rolled out in Elsevier's brand new electronic submission and review system EVISE®. The journal will also follow the Article Based Publishing scheme, allowing papers to appear fully citable online just shortly after acceptance.
