Elsevier, the information analytics business specializing in science and health, is organising a symposium dedicated to Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSS), entitled Clinical Decision Support System, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data in the Hospital: Impacts and Limitations Seen by Physicians. The event will take place on December 11, 2018, at the Maison des Polytechniciens.
Organised in partnership with the Association française d'informatique médicale, the Comité National de Coordination de la Recherche, the Fédération hospitalière de France, the Healthcare Data Institute, the Institut Curie and Medicen Paris, the day will bring together more than 200 health and medical professionals to discuss the challenges of AI.
Topics covered will include the integration of validated information into information systems, to predictive medicine based on algorithms that seek to replicate clinical reasoning; data collection coupled with AI; and the impacts the continuum of the decision-making chain. Professionals from the medical and hospital sector will be presenting on the developments that AI and data bring to the health sector. The limits of these new technologies and the upheaval in terms of medical progress, ethics, law and the relationship with patients will also be highlighted.
By organising this first symposium dedicated to CDSS, Elsevier intends to demonstrate its commitment to serving health professionals, to contribute to the improvement of knowledge and to support the digital transition of CDSS.
