STM publisher Elsevier, Netherlands, has announced the launch of Elsevier Adaptive Learning, a personalised learning experience for nursing and health profession students that maximises the efficacy and efficiency of learning, memory and retrieval of knowledge in an effort to improve learning outcomes.
Powered by technology from Cerego, a memory management tool with patented algorithms that apply scientifically researched principles, Elsevier Adaptive Learning will help nursing and health professions students acquire knowledge rapidly, maintain knowledge to a high degree of retention, and retrieve knowledge quickly and effortlessly throughout their education and into their clinical practice.

Elsevier Adaptive Learning uses scientifically-based principles to determine an appropriate schedule for each student to learn and review, helping to ensure readiness for exams and long-term success in his or her professional field. Additionally, the solution emphasises individualised learning, cognitive skills training and time management. Product features also include instructor and student performance dashboards with at-a-glance access to data on individual knowledge usage and retention at the course and item level, as well as a mobile app.
