STM Publisher Elsevier, Netherlands, has announced the launch of a new open access journal - Case Reports in Women's Health.
Case Reports in Women's Health publishes open access case reports covering all aspects of women's health. The scope reflects the comprehensive nature of women's health and includes not only the core areas of obstetrics and gynecology, but also the key subspecialty areas.
Case Reports are detailed medical reports of the symptoms, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of an individual patient. They often contain a demographic profile of the patient and describe a unique or novel occurrence. Many emerging diseases and conditions caused by a physician or healthcare environment due to exposure to pathogens, toxins or harmful procedures first appeared as case reports. The new journal will seek to be the most comprehensive source of informative case reports for busy clinicians and professionals in the diverse and growing field of women's health.
Stephen L. Corson will serve as Editor-in-Chief of the journal. Stephen is Professor Emeritus of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Thomas Jefferson University School of Medicine, Philadelphia, USA and Editor Emeritus of Elsevier's Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology. He is supported by a team of eight editors who are leading experts in their specialties.
