Elsevier’s ChemSearch Challenge allows chemists to demonstrate how fast they can find relevant information -

STM publisher Elsevier has announced that the Reaxys ChemSearch Challenge is now live. In the series of 12 weekly online quizzes, chemists can use their preferred chemistry database or search engine to find the information they need to correctly answer research questions. The contest will record chemists' response times and score accuracy, measuring how quickly chemists can operate and identify bottlenecks in research.

Scores of entrants have already signed up and are faced the first quiz, on September 8th 2015. New entrants can sign up for the challenge at any time: chemists can register, or tackle quizzes, at www.chemistrysearcher.com.

The Challenge runs for 12 weeks. Quizzes are updated weekly, with a leaderboard tracking the best-performing entrants for each quiz and weekly charity donation prizes. Chemists can sign up for the challenge at any time, as well as following the challenge via the #ChemSearch hashtag and sharing results with their peers over social media.
