Engineering Village, an Elsevier online search platform that provides database content and analysis for engineering researchers, has announced the addition of over 300 new titles from both Elsevier imprints and William Andrew Publishers to its Referex engineering-focussed e-books database.
Referex is a full-text professional e-reference database on the Engineering Village platform comprising 1,900 top engineering titles across 6 engineering subject disciplines. The addition of William Andrew Publishers titles represents the first time Referex is featuring content from a third-party publisher. Strong in the core engineering disciplines, William Andrew Publishers books were chosen to enhance the data-rich reference handbooks in demand by Referex users.
Elsevier professional reference titles in Referex are drawn from its Science and Technology books publishing programme featuring leading imprints including Pergamon, Newnes, Butterworth Heinemann, Morgan Kaufmann, and Syngress. The addition of William Andrew Publishers content, coupled with the new 2008 Elsevier titles is projected to give Referex greater comprehensiveness in the core engineering disciplines.
