Academic and professional literature publisher Emerald Group Publishing Ltd., UK, has announced the winners of its 2009 Citation of Excellence Awards. Now in their fourteenth year, these annual awards recognise the 50 most outstanding articles published by the top 400 management journals in the world.
Each year the Emerald Management Reviews Accreditation Board, comprised of management experts from industry and academia including Cary Cooper, Philip Kotler, Darrell K. Rigby, and B. Joseph Pine II, select the world's top 400 management titles. Independent subject experts then make a thorough and rigorous assessment of every article in each of these journals and 50 outstanding articles are singled out for a Citation of Excellence Award. Authors of the winning articles receive an official certificate and badge to display on their work. The award brings with it peer recognition and, frequently, increases in research funding.
