Management research publisher Emerald Group Publishing Limited, UK, has announced that it has become Serials Solutions KnowledgeWorks Certified. KnowledgeWorks Certified is a new publisher certification programme that helps Serials Solutions to maintain the highest quality bibliographic metadata for e-resources.
As a KnowledgeWorks Certified partner, Emerald will work with Serials Solutions to ensure that content is current and accurate, making it easier for librarians to track and for library patrons to find. With this certification, Emerald now becomes a key content partner in providing quality metadata to the Serials Solutions KnowledgeWorks knowledgebase.
To populate KnowledgeWorks, Serials Solutions collects bibliographic metadata from publishers and then cross checks with the Library of Congress and other authority-based data sources in order to normalise the data. Emerald joins fourteen other content providers in the KnowledgeWorks Certification programme collaborating to ensure that bibliographic metadata is represented accurately and up-to-date in the Serials Solutions KnowledgeWorks knowledgebase.
