She will be based in Toronto, Canada, enabling her to frequently meet with Canadian customers and contributors to Emerald's online collections of journals and book publishing programme. The move is part of Emerald's commitment to provide better sales and editorial support for its customer base in the Canadian marketplace.
Hasan has worked for both publishers and aggregators in Canada, the USA and the UK for the last 12 years. This announcement coincides with Emerald's current expansion in North America. A US subsidiary called Emerald Inc. was established in Cambridge, Massachusetts and several US-based representatives were recently appointed. Emerald now has business managers working in the USA, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, China, India and Australia.
