Academic and professional literature publisher Emerald Group Publishing Ltd., UK, has announced free access to key scholarly research on sustainability to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. International Journal of Climate Change Strategies and Management, as well as ‘Rethinking Governance for Sustainability’, a special issue of Corporate Governance, will be freely available online until May 20, 2010. Social Responsibility Journal will also be accessible from April 26, 2010 as part of Emerald’s ‘journals of the week’, which features two of its publications in open access every week.
Edited by Professor Walter Filho, Head of Research, Hamburg University of Life Sciences, International Journal of Climate Change Strategies and Management regards climate change under the perspective of its wider implications - for economic growth, water and food security, and for people's survival. ‘Rethinking Governance for Sustainability’ is a Special Issue of Corporate Governance guest-edited by Atle Midtun. This title explores new governance opportunities in today’s institutional terrain, with a focus on the global sustainability challenge. Innovative models of governance entrepreneurship are illustrated with examples from ecology, finance, corruption, and general politics.
