Academic and professional literature publisher Emerald Group Publishing Ltd, UK, has announced the launch of Emerald Backfiles at the UKSG Conference and Exhibition 2008, to be held at the Riviera International Conference Centre, Torquay, UK, from April 7-9, 2008. Emerald will release the digitisation of the full archive of its journal titles in business, management, library and information services, materials science, and engineering. Working with the British Library, more than 60,000 articles, some going back to the 1800s, are now in PDF format and available electronically for the first time.
Emerald representatives will be on hand at booth number 46 to discuss Emerald's recent acquisition of Social Sciences books and book series from Elsevier, as well as Emerald InTouch, Emerald Management First and Best of Biz. Also on show will be Emerald's flagship product, Emerald Management Xtra, the largest, most comprehensive online collection of peer-reviewed management journals, created to meet the needs of educators, students, researchers and information professionals working in the business community.
Visitors are invited to celebrate the launch of Emerald Backfiles with a series of events taking place during the Conference. Emerald representatives will give a presentation of Emerald's current range of journal collections and answer questions on Monday, April 7, at 4 pm in the Arena.
