enTourage Systems, Inc., the US-based developer of a dualbook branded 'enTourage eDGe', has partnered with publisher O'Reilly Media to enhance the offerings of enTourage Systems' e-book store. Under the deal, O'Reilly Media's full EPUB catalogue of over 1,000 titles will now be available to enTourage eDGe users via the online e-book store.
The enTourage eDGe is a dual-screen multimedia tablet with the added functionalities of an e-reader, notepad and audio/video recorder and player in one. The enTourage eDGe claims to be the world's first dualbook. The product comes with a built-in camera and microphone to store audio and video content that can be played back later. The enTourage eDGe runs on the Google Android operating system and backs up all content on enTourage Systems' servers.
In addition to the content from O'Reilly Media, enTourage Systems e-book store includes over 200,000 trade titles, e-textbooks, major magazines, newspapers and periodicals, as well as over one million free public domain books digitised by Google. The e-book store is a key component to the enTourage Systems eco-system, providing a controlled user experience that also includes document back-up and sharing between devices.
