e-communication and clinical information solutions developer EPG Health Media, UK, has announced the launch of a new interactive Thrombosis Knowledge Centre within the web-based physician resource www.epgonline.org.
Sanctioned by the European Medical Association (EMA), EPG Online is a free educational service dedicated to providing healthcare professionals (HCPs) with access to best practice diagnosis and patient management guidance. This independent service provides access to a range of EU pharmaceutical drug data via an innovative search tool.
The Thrombosis Knowledge Centre contains information about the epidemiology and risk factors, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of VTE and acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Considerable detail is given to available pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapy options to prevent thrombolytic events. This includes a comprehensive list of available management guidelines.
The Thrombosis Knowledge Centre, developed in partnership with GlaxoSmithKline, is the most recent addition to the range of interactive guides that form part of the EPG Online 'library' of more than twenty Knowledge Centres. Others include Asthma, Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia, Human Papillomavirus (HPV) & Cervical Cancer, Parkinson's Disease and Renal Anaemia.
