ETH Zurich secures new Read & Publish agreement with World Scientific Publishing -

ETH Zurich has successfully negotiated a Read & Publish agreement with World Scientific Publishing, providing its researchers with expanded opportunities to publish their work open access. This new agreement, effective retroactively from January 1, 2024, marks the 20th such agreement secured by the ETH Library, reinforcing its commitment to enhancing the visibility and accessibility of scientific research.

Under this agreement, authors affiliated with ETH Zurich will benefit from unlimited open access publishing in over 130 hybrid journals offered by World Scientific. This arrangement significantly boosts the dissemination of research outputs, ensuring that scientific findings from ETH Zurich reach a broader global audience without access barriers.

In addition to the unlimited open access publishing in hybrid journals, ETH Zurich researchers will also receive a 20% discount on article processing charges (APCs) for publications in World Scientific's Gold Open Access journals. This financial incentive further supports ETH Zurich's researchers in making their work openly available.

The ETH Library is dedicated to providing comprehensive support for this new publishing opportunity. Researchers are encouraged to reach out to the e-publishing team at the ETH Library for assistance with the open access publishing process and any related inquiries.

For more detailed information on the procedure for open access publishing, members of the ETH community can visit the ETH Library’s website or contact the e-publishing team directly.
