Library automation solutions provider Ex Libris Group has announced the release of version 4.0 of the Rosetta digital asset management and preservation solution. This major new release streamlines the management of preservation roles and enhances the communication between Rosetta and discovery systems, enabling users to easily discover collections that are preserved in Rosetta.
Version 4 of Rosetta incorporates over 100 enhancements, many of which were requested by Rosetta users. Highlights of the new version include better user experience, enhanced data management, improved system scalability, performance and robustness, and extended end-to-end support for collection management.
Installed in libraries and archives worldwide, Rosetta encompasses the entire digital preservation workflow, including the acquisition, validation, ingest, storage, preservation, and delivery of digital objects. Rosetta enables academic institutions as well as libraries, archives, and other memory institutions to manage, preserve, and provide access in perpetuity to institutional documents, research output in digital formats, digital images, websites, and other digitally born and digitized materials.
