Federation University Australia recently launched its institutional data repository, available at federation.figshare.com.
Faculty and Higher Degree by Research students will be able to upload supplemental research data and non-traditional research outputs in order to receive a citable DOI and track usage metrics. The University will also be able to import data published by Federation University Australia researchers in the Public Library of Science (PLoS) Figshare data repository into the institutional data repository.
Researchers will also be able to create Figshare project spaces around existing research projects, allowing for collaborative uploading of data and a public page to showcase the outputs of that particular project.
