First online seminar in the ICSTI 2019 Webinar series scheduled for February 14 -

The International Council for Scientific and Technical Information (ICSTI) has announced its first complimentary online seminar in the ICSTI 2019 Webinar series. The webinar 'From Information to Knowledge with AI' is scheduled for February 14, 2019, from10:30 am -12:00 noon EST, and will be hosted by the Copyright Clearance Center.

Currently, we have access to a large amount of information. However, the capacity to process and the ways by which information can be processed continue to be very limited. Better, more efficient ways to convert information into knowledge are required. The interaction between information and Knowledge Management with Artificial Intelligence advances the development of knowledge graphs, retrieval, question answering and pre-analysis of information using methods including data mining, natural language processing, and computer vision as well as advanced AI algorithms.

The webinar will explore practical solutions as well as the theory underpinning knowledge creation and delivery using Artificial Intelligence.

Presenters include Markus Stocker, Head of the Knowledge Infrastructures Research Group at the TIB Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology; Alex Wade, technical program manager on Meta at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative; and Manisha Bolina, Yewno's Channel Partner Manager for UK and Europe.

Panelists will give 20 minute presentations, each followed by a Q&A 10 minute session. The webinar is open to all.

Brought to you by Scope e-Knowledge Center, a trusted global partner for digital content transformation solutions - Abstracting & Indexing (A&I), Knowledge Modeling (Taxonomies, Thesauri and Ontologies), and Metadata Enrichment & Entity Extraction.
