Scientific information services provider FIZ Karlsruhe, Germany, has announced that FIZ AutoDoc will now provide FIZ AutoDoc and STN Customers with new additional services. Under the initiative, Future Science Group is available as a new pay-per-view supplier offering download option of articles from 41 e-journals at present.
These articles can be ordered and downloaded immediately via FIZ AutoDoc. If a user's ordered document is electronically available on one of Future Science Group's servers, the corresponding link is generated. In this case, the user may purchase the original document directly from Future Science Group in PLAIN PDF-format using the 'Purchase Now' button. The Future Science Group is an expanding group of independent publishing companies, active in the field of scientific information.
Other scientific publishers for which the company offers journal articles via the FIZ AutoDoc pay-per-view option are ACS, Elsevier, Karger, Springer and Thieme. At present, FIZ AutoDoc provides immediate download options for journal articles from more than 4,100 journals. It hopes to continuously enhance its 'future-proof' delivery option by cooperating with more publishing houses.
Additionally, FIZ AutoDoc will offer the option of requesting an offer and subsequently ordering e-prints. This extended service is provided in cooperation with Reprints Desk. FIZ AutoDoc is also providing a new and convenient way of ordering documents from PubMed via the order option 'From other Search Result'.
FIZ AutoDoc is a broker service and workflow management system for full-text document delivery which partners with national and international scientific libraries, publishers and content aggregators. The service analyses incoming orders and sends them to the most suitable document supplier based on customer preferences such as preferred format and delivery speed.
