Scientific information services provider FIZ Karlsruhe, Germany, has announced that it has re-designed and re-structured the website of its online service STN International (The Scientific & Technical Information Network). STN International is jointly operated by FIZ Karlsruhe (Europe) and Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) and represented in Japan by the Japan Association for International Chemical Information (JAICI). The service offers a wide range of indispensable databases as well as tools for search, analysis and post-processing of search results.
As of December 2, 2008, customers, business partners, and anyone interested will now be able to easily access the information they are looking for and thus get the support they need for their research activities. The new website provides direct access to the database online service via different user interfaces. Also, it offers extensive information material that researchers can benefit from. These include topical news, database descriptions, workshop manuals, presentations and search tips.
The STN software products STN Express and STN AnaVist are available for download. There is also a current calendar of workshops and user meetings with the option to register online for these events. In addition, those interested only in the products and services offered by STN can benefit from a presentation of solutions for different target groups - information professionals, intellectual property professionals, researchers, and academic institutions.
