Former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton to keynote Association of American Publishers General Annual Meeting -

The Association of American Publishers has announced that former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton will give the keynote speech at the 2014 Association of American Publishers General Annual Meeting, March 19 in New York City. Clinton will address representatives from the 425 member organisations of the largest national trade association for the US book and journal publishing industry.

This year's AAP event, 'The Next Chapter in Protecting IP: Policy, Disruption, Innovation and Sustainability,' will explore critical policy, business and societal issues facing the publishing industry. The day's other speakers, recognised as original voices and influencers in the dialogue around content and technology, are: Rep. Jerrold "Jerry" Nadler (D-NY) - the new ranking member of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Courts, Intellectual Property and the Internet; Dr. James McQuivey, Vice President and Principal Media Analyst, Forrester Research; and Jaron Lanier, author, Who Owns the Future? and a thought leader in the juncture of technology, economics and culture.

The General Annual Meeting is produced by AAP for its member organisations. Space is limited for non-members.
