Open Access publisher BioMed Central, UK, has announced that four of its titles have recently been accepted for indexing in MEDLINE following a review by the Literature Selection Technical Review Committee.
The journals are: Journal of Nanobiotechnology, Journal of Orthopaedic Surgery and Research, Parasites and Vectors and Reproductive Health. These titles bring the total number of BioMed Central journals indexed in MEDLINE to 108.
MEDLINE is one of the largest component of PubMed, the freely accessible online database of biomedical journal citations and abstracts created by the US National Library of Medicine. More that 5,000 journals published in the US and more than 80 other countries have been selected and are currently indexed for MEDLINE.
