Senior publishing executive Frank Vrancken Peeters will join Springer Nature as Chief Commercial Officer on September 4th. This newly created Management Board level appointment has been established to support the future growth and strategy of the group. Frank will report in the short term to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Derk Haank and then from October 1st to the new CEO of Springer Nature, Daniel Ropers.
Frank has spent more than twenty years in academic, educational and professional publishing in a range of senior commercial roles. He will join Springer Nature from Wolters Kluwer where he is currently Regional Managing Director (RMD), Legal & Regulatory, Western Europe. He also leads the global Sales & Marketing centre at the company.
Prior to joining Wolters Kluwer, Frank was Chief Operating Officer at Infinitas Learning and spent almost ten years with Elsevier Science, where he served as MD Government and Academic Markets, MD Science Direct and MD Global Sales, amongst other roles. Frank entered academic publishing following an early career in management consulting, working with global media clients at Booz Allen Hamilton.
