Frankfurter Buchmesse appoints Matthäus Cygan as its Director Business Development Trade International -

The Frankfurter Buchmesse has announced the appointment of Matthäus Cygan as its Director Business Development Trade International, effective August 1. He will develop strategies for international publishers and devise new products and services for this customer group. He will also supervise rights and licensing activities for the Frankfurt Rights Meeting and Literary Agents & Scouts Centre (LitAg). Matthäus Cygan reports to Holger Volland, Vice President Business Development & Sales at Frankfurter Buchmesse.

Since 2013, he has held various positions at Verlagsgruppe Random House GmbH, where he most recently oversaw the strategic development of the group's digital business. This included managing operational in-house consulting in the areas of e-commerce, e-books and digital audio books as well as developing new business models and expanding distribution channels.
