Free online access to papers based on the Workshop on Infinite Dimensional Algebras and Quantum Integrable Systems -

Non-profit scientific publisher Institute of Physics Publishing (IOP), UK, has announced that the latest special issue of Journal of Physics A: Mathematical and Theoretical - Papers based on the Workshop on Infinite Dimensional Algebras and Quantum Integrable Systems II (Faro, Portugal, 23-27 July 2007) - is now online and freely available until October 29, 2008.

The issue, guest edited by A Fring, P Kulish, N Manojlović, Z Nagy, J Nunes da Costa and H Samtleben, seeks to provide a comprehensive insight into the theory of integrable systems for the new-comer to the field as well as to the expert. Boasting many papers from invited speakers and participants of the workshop as well as original contributions from non-participants, the issue features highly rated articles from the likes of L Faddeev, M Semenov-Tian-Shansky and H Konno. All contributions contain significant new results or provide a survey of the state of the art of the subject or a critical assessment of the present understanding of the topic and a discussion of open problems.

The Journal of Physics A: Mathematical and Theoretical publishes research on the mathematical structures that describe fundamental processes of the physical world and on the analytical, computational and numerical methods for exploring these structures. Each issue of the journal is split into six sections - statistical physics; chaotic and complex systems; mathematical physics; quantum mechanics and quantum information theory; classical and quantum field theory, and fluid and plasma theory. To be acceptable for publication in the journal papers must make significant, original and correct contributions to one or more of the topics within these sections.
