Frontiers launches new OA journal - Frontiers in Energy Research -

Open-access scholarly publisher Frontiers, part of the Nature Publishing Group family, has announced the launch of its Frontiers in Energy Research journal. In Frontiers in Energy Research, scientists from around the world join together to examine how new energy systems can be integrated in the economic and social fabric of our world.

The journal will serve as a free-to-access point of reference for all scientists and engineers interested in staying up to date on energy issues. Topics that will be covered range from energy nanotechnology solutions to energy policies, including energy-efficient building and the energy-water nexus. Storage and distribution, including the impact of energy systems on all sectors of society, especially on the world's developing regions, will also be studied in depth and strong input for scientists and policy makers will be provided.

Frontiers in Energy Research will provide an open-science and interactive web platform for the research community to publish high-quality and rigorously peer-reviewed articles. Frontiers' real-time and interactive peer review enables fast, transparent and constructive review of a range of article types. With an average of eighty-four days from submission to final decision for a paper, articles are published quickly, under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY) license, and are available for free.
