Future Neurology to follow fully open access model from January 2019 -

Future Medicine, an imprint of Future Science Group, has announced that Future Neurology will be following a fully open access model, effective January 2019. The transition means that all the content published from January 2019 onwards will be open access on www.futuremedicine.com.

The journal covers key areas of neurology, publishing the latest findings and opinions, exploring the best clinical research. The journal also highlights significant advances in basic and translational research, placing them in context for future therapy.

Future Neurology considers original research articles that have been conducted with scientific rigor and research integrity. They also accept case report submissions. Other article types considered include reviews, perspectives, editorials and commentaries, providing neurologists and other health professionals with high-quality information and discussion on the breadth of topic areas within neurology in a clear, accessible format.

The journal will follow a gold open access model, publishing all articles under the Creative Commons CC-BY-NC-ND license. Authors are required to fully comply with the journal's Disclosure & Conflict of Interest Policy as well as major publishing guidelines, including ICMJE and GPP3. All research and review-style articles submitted to the journals will undergo double-blind peer review by a minimum of two independent experts.

The journal is currently actively soliciting contributions of original research, reviews and perspective articles. Interested parties may get in touch via email using the subject line 'Future Neurology OA' by December 31, 2018. The open access fees for their article will be waived.
