Publisher Future Science Group, UK, has announced an agreement with JISC Collections. Under the deal, journals published under the Expert Reviews and Future Medicine imprints will be offered to the UK academic community under the new NESLi2 SMP (Small and Medium sized Publishers) initiative (http://www.nesli2.ac.uk/smp-information.html).
The Future Science Group publishes 34 journal titles under the Expert Review and Future Medicine imprints. The Expert Review series includes 17 titles spanning the key therapeutic areas of medicine, providing comprehensive clinical guidance to industry-leading publication times. Another 17 titles, published under the Future Medicine imprint, explore progress at the cutting edge of our understanding of the disease and opportunities for therapeutic intervention, and place these advances in context for medical practice.
JISC Collections was established as a mutual trading company by the UK further and higher education funding councils in 2006 to negotiate with publishers of online information and other owners of digital content. The range of resources licensed for use by such agreements constitutes a large national collection of online resources for education and research.
