Gale, part of Cengage Learning, has been awarded the Besterman/McColvin Award in the 'Outstanding works of electronic resources and e-books' category at the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals' (CILIP) ISG Reference Awards for the second consecutive year.
The Sunday Times Digital Archive, 1822-2006 has won the Besterman/McColvin Award in the 'Outstanding works of electronic resources and e-books' category and the National Geographic Magazine Archive, 1888-1994 was voted Highly Commended in the same category. The awards were judged by a panel of librarians from across academic and public libraries in the UK who selected Gale from the eligible 2011 entries.
