Engineering resources provider Knovel, US, has announced that it has expanded its sales and business development team to address global growth and product demand. Its new EU-based team is led by IHS veteran Gary Kearns, who joins as Knovel's Business Development Director EMEA.
Kearns brings more than 20 years of international experience in direct sales, marketing, new business development and channel management. Kearns is responsible for Knovel's customer expansion in the EMEA region. The new team includes Jenny Hemming, Corporate Sales Manager for the UK and Ireland, and Andy Brown, Director of Academic Sales EMEA. Brown is a trained Aerospace Engineer who previously worked at ESDU. In addition to this team, Maro Iordanou joins Knovel as Director of UK and Channel Marketing, responsible for building Knovel's brand in the UK and for managing channel partners.
Knovel offers a web-based application integrating technical information with analytical and search tools for engineers. It is stated to have over 600 customers worldwide including 73 of the Fortune 500 companies and more than 300 leading universities.
