GenomeQuest adds China sequence patents to IP research solution -

GenomeQuest, a US-based provider of sequence data management (SDM) products, has announced that it has expanded its content for patent search to include sequences filed at SIPO, the patent office of China.

More than 40,000 sequences from over 5000 Chinese patents are already indexed and searchable in GQ-IP, the company's online patent research solution that now holds information on over 300,000 patents globally. Indexed sequences from SIPO patent filings are immediately available to GQ-IP users.

GQ-IP aggregates, normalises, curates and updates patent information across global databases, including USPTO, EPO, WIPO & PCT, INPADOC, GenBank, EMBL, DDBJ, and paper filings from WIPO. Over 300,000 patents - including their sequences and all annotations - are now stored and updated bi-weekly in the GQ-IP database. Annotations include patent number, title, abstract, assignee, inventors, dates, and patent families. Users can also add in-house sequence data to GQ-IP.
