Ex Libris®, a ProQuest company, has announced that the Hochschulbibliothekszentrum des Landes Nordrhein Westfalen (hbz) has chosen the Ex Libris Rosetta digital asset management and preservation solution to serve the consortium's member institutions.
More than 40 hbz member institutions from North Rhine-Westphalia will be able to deposit digital collections and research data in the central Rosetta system and use Rosetta to manage and preserve these assets. The hbz consortium's efforts in the field of digital preservation are supported by the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Research of North Rhine-Westphalia (MIWF).
Rosetta was chosen for its extensive functionality as well as its support for consortial deposit and preservation and will allow hbz to preserve and manage the academic and literary collections of its members.
